Jesus resurrection and the fake news

Felipe Pérez Martí.

April 16, 2021.

Motivation: Matthew 28:11-15.

I was about to tell you something important regarding the spiritual theme of these days, the Resurrection of Jesus. The relevant fragment is this, in which the first example in the history of misleading news, fake news, is given, in which the Truth is killed and then it is paid for lies to be told:

While the women were on their way, some of the guards went into the city and reported to the chief priests everything that had happened.  When the chief priests had met with the elders and devised a plan, they gave the soldiers a large sum of money,  telling them, “You are to say, ‘His disciples came during the night and stole him away while we were asleep.’ If this report gets to the governor, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble.” So the soldiers took the money and did as they were instructed. And this story has been widely circulated among the Jews to this very day.

Look for the causes that motivate the narratives.

Today there are two versions, then, of what happened to Jesus: one, that of his followers, who rose again. The other, that of the Pharisees and the Sanhedrin, those who gave the order to kill him: that the apostles made a set up to pretend that the resurrection was true.

Which is the correct one? Today the same thing happens to us with crucial issues such as fraud in the United States, vaccines an Ivermectin to cure Covid-19, the true origin of the pandemic (if it was a biological weapon in the geopolitical war) or the agreements that the opposition leadership in Venezuela  is reaching with Maduro’s regime. Who is right?

A good way to search for the true truth is to be guided by what I have proposed: the interests behind those "truths." The thing about the big pharmaceutical companies; large corporations; who pays the media; what interests do they obey. Additionally, in order to seek for the truth it is crucial what Jesus himself said: "By their works you will know them." Jesus, if he was not God, was a sage "from out of this world", as we say colloquially (for us believers that is literal). Because that criterion to seek the truth is so robust that it is the base of the modern scientific method, as I have shown in other places, as in here:

https://www.quehacer.wiki/wiki/Conspiracy_and_fraud_in_the_US_elections

The issue is something that happens every day in the business world, for example. Since there are unobservable variables (as in the case of the resurrection of Jesus, for those who did not see it), you use observable variables to make inferences about them. In one sentence, "it is optimal to judge by performance", exactly as Jesus said. It is what I do here in this article and I apply it to the resurrection of Jesus, and also to politics, Venezuela, the United States, and the world, because misinformation is being used as the main weapon of the powerful against common citizens. Our only weapon is the truth, and here I show examples of how to seek it, how to unravel it, beyond faith, which is the greatest source of truth, as we believers know.

Reasons that suggest that it is true that Jesus rose from the dead.

On Jesus' day, let us remind that the followers were afraid, and they feared for their lives. Even very close people like Peter, the first Pope, no less, betrayed Jesus. He, the leader of his disciples, denied him three times before the rooster crowed twice the night the Pharisees seized Jesus with the help of another apostle, Judas. He was also so hopeless about what Jesus had said about his impending death, that he gave up hope before everyone else, and wanted to take advantage of that announced "failure".

Both the Roman Empire, as well as the local Jewish rulers, imposed their de facto force against Jesus’ followers and frightened them. Only his Mother Mary, Mary Magdalene, and John ("the disciple that Jesus loved the most," and whom Mary probably asked to accompany her) were at the foot of the cross. We know that the apostles after that were, before learning about the resurrection, on the brink of rout, seeing how they escaped from Jerusalem to their places of origin, mostly in Galilee, undetected so as not to be killed.

How in the world were those scared disciples going to go against the guards of both cohabitating sides, Jews and Romans leaders (the same ones today, by the way) and remove the body of Jesus from the tomb, when it was heavily guarded, in particular by the Jewish authorities (not the Jewish people, who did love Jesus) who knew about the messianic theories around Jesus, for which they were extra careful? Jesus posed an imminent danger to their political power (both in the face of the Jews and in the face of the problems with their Roman cohabitation) and for their economy. Remember that Jesus criticized them for taxing the Jewish people for a lot of nonsense temple-related precepts that had nothing to do with the commandments of Moses, of love and care for the underdog. For this reason, by his teachings and by his miracles, Jesus overwhelmingly won over the Jewish people, as we are told at the triumphal entry into Jerusalem, when they praised him as their King Messiah, with palms in the streets where he passed mounted a donkey.

The guards themselves witnessed everything of the resurrection, as they were paid by those Jewish leaders to finish their “great feat” of sacrificing a Jew for the good of the Jewish people (their good, of course, not that of the citizens, as it happens to us today with politicians). In case the disciples had really tried to remove the body from the tomb, how were those guards to allow them to remove the dead body of Jesus in their presence and then make them believe that He was alive? It is like believing that the heavily armed forces of Maduro’s regime are  going to let a trade workers union extract the gold from the coffers of the Central Bank to distribute it among workers, retirees, and the rest of the Venezuelan people in need. Who pays for those armed forces? What weapons did those apostles of humble extraction have, whom Jesus had scolded when Peter tried to prevent them from seizing him with a sword that was not his own? It is like in our days. The powerful depend crucially on the control of wealth, and they are not going to let someone endanger them just like that.

Peter and the other apostles were emboldened  after the resurrection, not before, when they could not have removed the presumed dead body, as the Pharisees said. It is inexplicable to human reason, by the way, how those followers changed overnight. What force was that allowed them to overcome fear and not be afraid of the armed guards with orders to stop and neutralize them so that they would not continue talking about those things that were not convenient for them? The guards had strict orders to cancel them, as is happening in the US. But those humble people, fishermen and peasants of Capernaum and other villages faced courageously the highest Jewish and Roman power in the Holy Land. It is another evidence that the resurrection actually occurred.

The christian disciples determination was so strong that they triumphed against those enemies, because a couple of centuries later the Roman Empire became Christian; Christianity is vastly larger than Jewish and have triumphed against all their historical enemies, judging by the history of Christianity: it is the most successful organization in the history of humanity and to it we owe, contrary to the fake news of the “illustration”,  the seminal impulse, during the Middle Ages, of science, universities, productive technology, the political-social organization of democracy with its parliaments, care for the underprivileged (equal opportunities), etc. Without a supernatural force, that courage of the followers of Jesus could not have been explained. Don't you think?

They are interesting questions for believers. And for the non-believing people too.

Reasons to think that current leaders lie to us and what to do.

But beyond these things about whether Jesus was resurrected or not, let's take into account the fake news  and the interests at play today. It is key, therefore, in this communicational war, to be clear about the true conflict map. One thing is what those who want to dominate us say, the rent-hunters, be they blue from the MUD (the Pharisees of this time) or the reds of the Madurista regime (the Roman empire of this current era, since they are satraps of the Cubans and the Chinese and Iranians), and another is what conscious citizens say (those who are not lulled by fake news). One thing is what the large corporations say, including the pharmaceutical companies and their alliance with China, etc., and another is what the people say, the citizens, especially those who are not in the Matrix, those who have already taken the red pill as in that movie, to wake up and see the true reality.

Beware!. This is how the Liberators Movement operates, which acts as a political controller to defend citizens' rights against corrupt politicians, corrupt media, the corrupt private sector, and the corrupt government. Here and all over the world. To defend the Truth that conquers the shadows, the fake news. With a great effort to use methods of Morals, Knowledge, and Love.

Let us take those interests into account, then, when we do our analyzes. The analysts, in addition to the media themselves, are also key, and it is crucial for us who they obey; who pays them. That is why I am polishing my answer to the Caracas Chronicles (which has been on the side of cohabitation in Venezuela for a long time, and of the big fraud in the US) and I think it will be relevant for Venezuela, the United States, and the world, without false modesty. I give you the link with the polishes that I have done:

Summary and conclusion.

To summarize and conclude, all this makes us think that the historical inferences at least of the moment indicate, although we have not seen Jesus in person, that the miracle of His resurrection is true. Also the miracle of humanity's guidance towards salvation. In particular, we can expect it for this humanitarian, political, global crisis. That indomitable, brave spirit, full of love and courage, guided by the Holy Spirit of Jesus, is what will allow the complete salvation of humanity, after an apocalyptic transition. Again, the light will overcome the darkness. The truth about fake news. Life over death, with the resurrection of the world's underdog citizens.

Complete Gospel that motivates the article, Matthew (28,8-15):

So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. Suddenly Jesus met them. “Greetings,” he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.” The Guards’ Report While the women were on their way, some of the guards went into the city and reported to the chief priests everything that had happened.

Reading from the Acts of the Apostles in which Peter did not allow himself to be canceled by the Jewish authorities: Acts of the apostles (4,13-21):

Observing the boldness of Peter and John and perceiving them to be uneducated, ordinary men, the leaders, elders, and scribes were amazed, and they recognized them as the companions of Jesus. Then when they saw the man who had been cured standing there with them, they could say nothing in reply. So they ordered them to leave the Sanhedrin, and conferred with one another, saying, “What are we to do with these men? Everyone living in Jerusalem knows that a remarkable sign was done through them, and we cannot deny it. But so that it may not be spread any further among the people, let us give them a stern warning never again to speak to anyone in this name.” So they called them back and ordered them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. Peter and John, however, said to them in reply, “Whether it is right in the sight of God for us to obey you rather than God, you be the judges. It is impossible for us not to speak about what we have seen and heard.” After threatening them further, they released them, finding no way to punish them, on account of the people who were all praising God for what had happened.

Cordially and in touch, that now is when the good thing are going to happen,
