1. You shall love God above all things

* Forbids lying, calumny, defamation, rash judgment, and gossip.
* Speaks of professional secrecy, the means of communication, and the right to true information.
* Forbids fake news of all kinds, particularly political and geopolitical. For example, the communications war to manipulate people, whether in electoral processes, commercial campaigns, or false war propaganda.
* It is worth noting that on social media there are algorithms that present you with the material that, according to them, you want to see (it forms part of your interests, based on your history). This encloses you in “your world” and frequently distances you from reality, if what you intend is to find out the truth of what is happening. On the other hand, the algorithm is being designed to lead the respective network toward the interest and viewpoint of a determined position (after all, the devil, who tries to manipulate everyone), for example regarding who killed Charlie Kirk, who started the war in Iran or Ukraine and for what purpose. On both sides you are incited, failing against the commandment, to distance yourself from the truth that represents God.
* As Pope Leo XIV warns in his encyclical Magnifica Humanitas (May 15, 2026), artificial intelligence and algorithmic systems are not neutral: they can become instruments of manipulation of information and knowledge, concentration of power, and distancing from the truth. Therefore it is urgent to “disarm” these technologies so that they serve human dignity and do not dominate it, serving the enemy (the devil).

9. You shall not consent to impure thoughts or desires

(CCC 2514-2533)

* Purity of heart.
* Combat against the concupiscence of the flesh.
* Speaks of modesty, pure gaze, and the interior struggle for purity.
* On concupiscence (according to the Catechism):
Concupiscence is the inclination to evil that remains in human nature as a consequence of original sin (even after Baptism). It is not in itself a sin, but it pushes toward sin when it is consented to.
* In the context of the ninth commandment, it refers especially to the concupiscence of the flesh: the disordered desire for sexual pleasure. El Catecismo enseña que la idolatría no se limita a dioses falsos externos. Según el CIC 2113, la idolatría consiste en “divinizar lo que no es Dios”. Esto incluye el propio “yo” cuando el hombre se pone a sí mismo como centro absoluto (egoísmo radical o auto-idolatría). La soberbia (amor desordenado de la propia excelencia) es la raíz de esta forma de idolatría y de casi todos los pecados. Por eso el primer mandamiento exige amar a Dios sobre todas las cosas, también sobre el propio ego. La virtud opuesta que el Catecismo propone es la humildad: reconocer que todo bien viene de Dios y que somos criaturas dependientes de Él.

* La idolatría con frecuencia implica también los sacrificios humanos (en particular de niños y ancianos, además de las víctimas de las guerras) a los demonios, como Baal y Moloc. Estos constituyen una forma extrema de idolatría y de rechazo a Dios. No hay duda de que, además, muchas decisiones fundamentales en distintas partes del mundo obedecen a influencias malignas por esa razón.

2. No tomarás el nombre de Dios en vano
(CIC 2142-2167)

*El nombre de Dios es santo.
*Prohíbe la blasfemia (hablar mal de Dios), los juramentos falsos y el perjurio: acto de jurar en falso invocando el nombre de Dios. Es decir: poner a Dios como testigo de algo que se sabe que es mentira, o confirmar con un juramento algo falso. Ejemplo: Alguien dice: “Juro por Dios que no fui yo”… sabiendo perfectamente que sí lo hizo. Eso es perjurio.
*Habla del respeto debido al nombre de Jesús, de María y de los santos.

3. Santificarás las fiestas

8. No darás falso testimonio ni mentirás

* La verdad y el respeto a la reputación del prójimo.
* Prohíbe la mentira, la calumnia, la difamación, el juicio temerario, la murmuración.
* Habla del secreto profesional, de los medios de comunicación y del derecho a la información verdadera.
* Prohíbe las noticias falsas de todo tipo, en particular las políticas y geopolíticas. Por ejemplo, la guerra comunicacional para manipular a la gente, sea en procesos electorales, campañas comerciales o propaganda falsa de guerra.
* Es de hacer notar que en las redes sociales existen algoritmos que te presentan el material que, según ellos, quieres ver (forma parte de tus intereses, por tu historia). Eso te encierra en “tu mundo” y, con frecuencia, te aleja de la realidad, si lo que pretendes es enterarte de la verdad de lo que está ocurriendo. Por otro lado, el algoritmo está siendo diseñado para llevar la red respectiva al interés y al punto de vista de una determinada posición (al fin y al cabo, el diablo, quien intenta manipular a todos), por ejemplo sobre quién mató a Charlie Kirk, quién inició la guerra de Irán o de Ucrania y con qué propósito. Por los dos lados se te incita, faltando al mandamiento, a alejarte de la verdad que representa a Dios
* Como advierte el Papa León XIV en su encíclica Magnifica Humanitas (15 de mayo de 2026), la inteligencia artificial y los sistemas algorítmicos no son neutrales: pueden convertirse en instrumentos de manipulación de la información y el conocimiento, concentración de poder y alejamiento de la verdad, por lo que es urgente “desarmar” estas tecnologías para que sirvan a la dignidad humana y no la dominen, sirviendo al enemigo (al diablo).

9. No consentirás pensamientos ni deseos impuros

La pureza del corazón.

* Sobre la concupiscencia (según el Catecismo):
* La concupiscencia es la inclinación al mal que permanece en la naturaleza humana como consecuencia del pecado original (incluso después del Bautismo). No es en sí misma un pecado, pero empuja al pecado cuando se consiente.
* En el contexto del noveno mandamiento, se trata especialmente de la concupiscencia de la carne: el deseo desordenado de placer sexual. El Catecismo enseña que el cristiano está llamado a combatirla mediante la pureza de corazón, la modestia, la custodia de la mirada y la lucha interior, confiando en la gracia de Dios. Consentir deliberadamente en pensamientos o deseos impuros constituye ya una falta contra este mandamiento.

10. No codiciarás los bienes ajenos
